WPI is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Built to deliver more homes for women and children at risk of homelessness.
Built has named WPI its Victorian Charity Partner and will be supporting us with fundraising and volunteers on some key projects and across a range of skillsets. Recently we met with some of the Built team, including National Director, Ross Walker. It was also an opportunity for one of our wonderful tenants to bravely share her experience of family violence with the group to demonstrate the impact that Built’s support will make to women facing disadvantage and abuse.
Built is an industry leading, innovative, and socially conscious construction company, with a genuine drive to improve the way the world is built. Built has the scale & certainty of a tier one construction company, with the culture & agility to stay ahead of change. They offer a ‘Total Solution’ for clients in Australia, NZ and the UK markets, which means they can deliver construction, fitout and refurbishment, developments and small works projects across a range of sectors.
Built concentrates it’s charitable giving where they can support children & families in need, mental wellbeing and more broadly diversity, equality and inclusion. The team at Built is committed to making a real impact in our communities by targeting issues closest to them and where they’re able to have the greatest positive impact. As part of Built’s partnership with WPI, they have committed to providing financial support, pro-bono services, volunteering, cross promotional activation, and special fund raising aimed at helping the WPI community.
On behalf of their clients, Built has generously donated gift cards for the women and children living in WPI homes to celebrate the festive season. Receiving these gifts was overwhelming for some of our tenants. This donation will have a very powerful impact for these women and their families by helping them to cover some of the costs of the holiday season.
This was the response from one of our tenants: ” I received our gift cards today & just wanted to say thank you SO SO much, I honestly couldn’t be any more grateful.
Definitely not only made my day but made Christmas a little less stressful. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get my daughter something she really wants. It meant so much to me and for my daughter.”
