We were delighted to welcome more than 350 guests to our 25th Anniversary and Fundraising Gala which resulted in us raising more than $180,000 for our 25 Homes Campaign.

25 years is a wonderful milestone for WPI, which now owns 115 homes with a goal to deliver another 25 homes in the next three years.

On any given night, 49,000 Australian women are homeless. Due to a lack of secure housing many remain in unsafe situations.

The gala was a spectacular evening made possible by our major event partner, Built, and our event sponsors, Hansen Partnership, ANZ Private, SW Accountants and Advisors and Russell Kennedy Women’s Network.

With a glittering live auction and hotly contested silent auction, we are so grateful to everyone who dug deep on this night and helped us exceed our fundraising goal for the night and kick off the 25 homes campaign.

Our hilarious MC, Geraldine Hickey and special guest speaker, Lord Mayor, Sally Capp ensured the crowd were energetic and ready to bid!

With live auction prizes donated by Gabriel Gate, Lon Retreat, Mecca, the James Northfield Heritage Art Trust and Hi 5 E-Bikes, our live auctioneer, Rick Massese from our very own Property Initiatives Real Estate, drew out some very spirited bidding and great results.

The support of our matching partners, Built, The Campbell Gift Foundation, Christine Gilbertson, Margaret Gilbertson and Katie Struthers, helped us raise $181,000.

We were ably supported by our Media Partners, Equality Media and Marketing and Major Media to put our messaging front and centre – we want to deliver 25 new homes in the next 3 years for women and children to escape housing crisis.

We are grateful to everyone who supported us to make this event possible, those who attended donated and bid on auction items. We can’t reach our goal on our own. Donate to our 25 Homes Campaign.
