Success at The Funding Network PitchSubmitted by @dm1n_wP1 on Fri, 2017-06-16 15:57
The Funding Network (TFN) creates an exciting live crowd funding environment for non-profits and social enterprises to pitch their innovative solutions to social problems to a room full of individual donors, philanthropists, and businesses for one night.
Our social enterprise, Property Initiatives, was fortunate to be selected to pitch with Youthworx and Brewing for Change on June 6 in a thrilling event hosted by PwC Melbourne, where over $70,000 was pledged collectively to assist the enterprises with program development.
Property Initiatives Officer in Effective Control, Kristie Looney develivered an incredible pitch on the night and was assisted by one of our wonderful tenants who bravely shared her inspiring story. Property Initiatives secured over $27,000 and new property management opportunities which was an outstanding result thanks to the generosity and giving spirit of the crowd!
We thank TFN, their partners, and supporters for creating such a unique and inspiring event here in Australia and giving WPI and Property Initiatives the opportunity to be a part of it. We ardently look forward towards the growth of Property Initiatives over the next 12 months, in large part due to the boost received from the generosity of donors, as it pushes us so much closer to our next housing development and creating new beginnings for women.
